In 1966, the 133-acre (54 hectare) Los Angeles Zoo and Botanical Gardens was established. The entire zoo—including the animals, buildings, and land—belongs to the city of Los Angeles. City personnel work in administration, education, public relations, construction, grounds upkeep, animal care, and grounds maintenance.The Zoo & Botanical Gardens are in L.A.’s Griffith Park .  You can explore tropical ecosystems at Rainforest of the Americas, and see chimpanzees in their native habitat at Chimpanzees of the Mahale Mountains, which features waterfalls, palm palms, and rock formations. One of the best zoo environments in the world, according to renowned primatologist Jane Goodall, is the chimps’ den. Over 1,100 animals, including 29 endangered species, call the L.A. Zoo home. Amazing Sumatran tigers, fearsome Komodo dragons, and vibrant orange orangutans may all be observed up close and safely. With over 7,500 distinct plants, the zoo is also a horticultural paradise. As you’ll see in the family-friendly California Condor Rescue Zone, it also played a significant part in saving the fabled California condor from extinction. The Staples Center
serves as both the home arena and the venue for a number of events throughout the year for the illustrious Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Clippers of the NBA. Six Flags Magic Mountain
, formerly known as Magic Mountain, is a 262-acre (106 ha) amusement park situated near Valencia, California, 35 miles (56 km) north-west of downtown Los Angeles. A joint venture between Sea World Inc. and the Newhall Land and Farming Company, it debuted on May 29, 1971. The park was bought by Six Flags in 1979, and the name was changed to “Six Flags” as a result. When it comes to amusement parks, Six Flags Magic Mountain holds the global record for having the most roller coasters. With the debut of Wonder Woman: Flight of Courage in 2022, it became the first amusement park to offer 20 roller coasters. The park ranked sixteen in North America in terms of attendance in 2017 with an anticipated 3.3 million visitors. This theme park is a daredevil’s paradise and claims to have more world-class roller coasters than any other location. On rides with names like Goliath, Twisted Colossus, Viper, Sling Shot, and Apocalypse, teens and young adults swarm here to get spun, hurled, and dropped. Comic book characters are acknowledged here as well, such as on the Superman: Escape From Krypton mega-ride.
